The Office of School Safety partners with these state departments
and institutions to offer comprehensive resources for school safety

School safety means providing physical and psychological safety for all students, staff, and families. It helps everyone feel like they belong and supports their wellbeing by creating a positive and connected school environment. School safety also works to prevent harm, like bullying, threats, self-harm, drug use, and violence. Schools follow the National Incident Management System to prevent, protect, mitigate, respond, and recover from emergencies, in collaboration with community partners.
