Mental Health Challenges of Youth

  • Mental Health Considerations in Athletics
    • This workshop explores the crucial importance of prioritizing an athlete’s mental well-being alongside their physical health. We will discuss how to reduce the stigma around mental health issues in athletics, and identify and address specific risk factors in athletes.  In addition, we will explore the link between mental wellness and athletic performance, recognizing how mental health challenges may manifest in sports performance. Lastly, we will discuss how to provide athletes with tools to manage stress, develop resilience, and create a healthy work-life balance.  The aim of this workshop is to promote mental well-being and learn how to better support athletes in their athletic pursuits.
