Youth and Marijuana in Colorado
This course is designed to help educators and parents understand some of the basic impacts of youth marijuana use, including use statistics in Colorado, methods of use, and some of the science of how marijuana affects our brains. Tips for talking to young people about marijuana use and the potential consequences are also provided.

Knowledge is Power: Understanding the Risks of Vaping (for Youth)
This workshop will delve into the psychological and behavioral impacts of vaping, emphasizing nicotine addiction and its effects on adolescent brain development. We will explore other physical health risks of vaping, including respiratory and cardiovascular issues, as well as potential long-term effects on organ systems. We will also examine vaping companies’ marketing tactics, focusing on strategies targeting youth.

In this workshop, we will address the psychological, behavioral, and physical health risks of vaping, as well as the long-term effects vaping has on organ systems. Colorado is #1 in teen vaping, 28% higher than national average, and we know that now vapes can contain any drug, including fentanyl. We will give adults insight about new youth vaping trends to look for at home or school, and examine the marketing strategies used to target youth and vulnerable populations.
