Day 1: Firearm Injury Prevention Leadership (FIP-LEAD)
The CU Anschutz FIP-LEAD program will present a full afternoon on how multidisciplinary leaders can respectfully integrate science-based firearm injury prevention efforts in their communities.
Day 2: Threat Assessment, Legal Clarity, & Grief Support
Dr. Melissa Reeves: Get critical guidance on the unique considerations of special education in the threat assessment process, and clarify information sharing exceptions under FERPA, HIPAA, and federal caselaw. (A must for administrators!) Dr. Anna Mueller: Share results and key recommendations from her in-depth research on youth and suicide in Colorado. Emily Napier (Judi's House): Practical tools for responding to students and your school community facing grief and loss.
