Staff of the Colorado School Safety Resource Center have been reminding schools that, unless we are mistaken, no students have been lost in a school shooting when behind a locked classroom door. We hope schools take this seriously and consider funding push-button classroom locks. Our colleagues at the I Love You Guys Foundation have even computed the cost involved for putting locks on all classroom doors in the USA.
