The University of Colorado Boulder Grant Opportunity

 

A two-year grant is available to Colorado schools and educational agencies to implement the Botvin LifeSkills Training (LST) High School program with grade 9 or 10, starting in fall 2026.

 

Schools already implementing the program are eligible. Botvin LST promotes positive youth development by preventing substance use, violence, and other high-risk behaviors by building personal self-management skills, social skills, and refusal skills.

This funding opportunity is for the advancement in health and well-being for young people, ages 9 to 25, who face health inequities.

STOP School Violence Program FY2025 Funding Opportunity

The Students, Teachers, Officers Preventing (STOP) School Violence Grant Program is designed to improve K-12 school safety and security by providing students and teachers with the tools they need to recognize, respond quickly to, and help prevent acts of violence. The STOP School Violence Act of 2018 gave the Department of Justice the authority to provide awards to grantees to implement evidence-based school safety programs and technology.

FY27 State Victim and Law Enforcement (State VALE) Funding Opportunity

 

The Office for Victims Programs (OVP), a unit of the Division of Criminal Justice within the Colorado Department of Public Safety, announces the estimated availability of up to $500,000.00 (total announced is the amount available from July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027), in State VALE Grant Funds.

 

The purpose of your State VALE Application should be to develop, deliver, and/or coordinate a Victim Services Training Series and/or Statewide Victim-Services related conference for victim services professionals in Colorado. Projects should be designed to strengthen and build the capacity of victim services professionals and providers across the state to respond effectively to victims of crime. Activities funded through this opportunity must benefit the entire state or multiple regions in Colorado and be tied to conference and/or training project activities rather than ongoing organizational expenses.

 

  • Project activities must occur between July 1, 2026, and June 30, 2027
  • All applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. on November 14, 2025.

OSP Comprehensive Suicide Prevention Grant Program

 

The OSP is pleased to announce the availability of funds, through Senate Bill 18-272, to enhance comprehensive suicide prevention and crisis response for public schools and school districts. The purpose of this legislation is to provide funding for public schools and school districts to implement crisis and suicide prevention strategies, with priority given to public schools or school districts that have not received suicide prevention training previously.

DOL Resilient Colorado Grant Program

 

The Department of Law is seeking applications from eligible entities who aim to support local and statewide efforts to prevent and respond to opioid use and its impact in Colorado. This funding opportunity is from the State Share of Opioid Settlement Funds. There are six possible target focus areas:

 

  • Target 1: Promoting Youth Well-Being and Prevention by Encouraging Connection and Healthy Behaviors
  • Target 2: Addressing Gaps in Substance Use Treatment for Youth
  • Target 3: Growing Colorado’s Rural & Underserved Behavioral Health Workforce
  • Target 4. Building Recovery & Reentry Systems for Justice-Involved Individuals

COAC Infrastructure Share Fund

 

The purpose of the Infrastructure Share is to promote capital improvements and provide operational assistance for developing and improving the infrastructure necessary to abate the opioid crisis in Colorado. The Infrastructure Share is further intended to meet the needs of rural and underserved populations.

CDPHE Childhood Injuries and Fatalities by Firearm Mini Funding Opportunity

 

The Office of Gun Violence Prevention within the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is now accepting applications for new mini-grants that will fund projects to prevent childhood firearm fatalities across Colorado.

 

The maximum allocation is $10,000 per organization, and CDPHE plans to award a maximum of $200,000 in total funding. 

 

Applications are reviewed and awarded on a rolling basis. Due to limited funding, the office encourages organizations to submit their applications as soon as possible. The program will close on December 30, 2025, or when all funds have been awarded, whichever comes first.
